The Saaf Bath project is designed to benefit citizens especially women who do not have access to clean or safe public toilets in Pakistan. In order to provide better facilities, an innovative solution comprising portable public toilet containers consisting of 5 cubicles designed per international standards, will be launched across Pakistan.

The Salman Sufi Foundation launched Saaf Bath in Karachi on September 27th with Harpic as a strategic partner. The first two public toilets as part of this initiative have been donated by Harpic and are being launched in collaboration with the Government of Sindh at Lea Market and Jheel
Park, Karachi.

The second phase of this initiative is being implemented in Punjab with the launch of Saab Bath public toilets in Lahore on October 3 rd at Barket Market in collaboration with Municipal
Corporation Lahore.

The Saaf Bath Public Toilets Project is introducing Pakistan’s first comprehensively managed public toilet system to provide an innovative solution comprising of public toilet containers consisting of 4 cubicles designed per international standards. The project is designed to benefit pedestrians, especially women, and to cater people of all genders and different abilities.

They will be maintained on a daily basis through the Foundation’s Coordinating Officers and an independent waste management and sanitation providing service agency project.
